Halt Road - Property Sales

Our intention is to make the different units (business and residential) available for sale. Current tenants will have the first option to buy the unit, but they need to make the decision by 18 March 2009 and communicate that to us in writing to fax 0865106465 or e-mail below.

A deposit of 10% of the value of the unit will be required. That means if the unit is selling for R400 000 that R40 000 will be required. Financing will be available for qualifying tenants/applicants. The typical cost for a R400 000 unit will be about R4000 per month plus levies and electricity.

Levies will be determined by a body corporate which will consist out of elected people among the owners. They will then run the affairs of the building as well. This way tenants/owners will have a direct say in the building as well.

Tenants that choose not to buy their unit will be able to remain for as long as their signed lease allows them to stay. If they do not have a valid lease, the new owner may request them to go immediately upon transfer.

It is in the interest of tenants to sign new lease agreements as soon as possible.

Tenants with arrears will have to settle the arrears before they can purchase their respective units.
